Wow what a crazy week! Well done to everyone for putting on just a fantastic performance for our item assembly. A big thank you especially to Anna and Christian who stepped in at the very last minute to do an extra role each.
This was our last week of swimming as well. It has been great timing for our swimming lessons with all the hot days!
Well done to Mitchell, Angelina and Ben who presented our very first book reports of the term. What great preparation went into those!
This week we will finally start getting into a regular routine for our term. Below are the details of our class' first week of homework that they were given last Wednesday:
1. Spelling - Practice our weekly spelling words for our weekly test on Wednesday
2. Mathletics - Students have been allocated a mathletics task to be finished by Wednesday. Some students completed this during our Thursday session. If your child has not finished it that is part of their homework. This week our topic was place value to align with our place value activities from Monday and Tuesday.
3. Reading - Students need to have their diaries signed to show they have read at least 3 times this week. This does not have to be a long reading session. 10 minutes is more than enough for some students whilst others students may enjoy reading for half an hour or more.
4. Time activity - Students were given a matrix of activities. In the first column (knowing) students have to select one activity would like to complete. This is also due on Wednesday and ties in with our term topic.
