Anna's writing entry

A few students from our class have decided to enter a writing competition. The competition has to be under 2000 words in a creative writing format of the writer's choice. Students who have chosen to enter have taken an entry form from the library and are writing during their own free time. Below is an entry from Anna which has some amazing detail and description. Well done Anna and we wish you luck!

The Shadow
“Flick,” on goes the Bright light. It casts a blinding light
onto every little thing. But Behind it, creeping up the
dead, dry wall is a shadow. It‘s a dark, living creature
that creeps up walls and floors like a stampede of
barging ants. it invades the tiny room casting it into one,
dark, terrible shadow.
where ever you go your dead, real shadow will follow you,
as it clings onto your giant feet. it will infect the insides,
tearing at you soul trying to get away. but it doesn’t move
a single, small muscle it only moves soundlessly where
and whenever you move, copying your every sudden
movement.
From dawn till dusk it changes. it changes, trying to scare
you away from it’s terrible, dark body. It turns from big to
small, giant to little and big to small again. changing is
it’s only frightening weapon.
shadows can rip people apart like a shredder cutting
paper. people see the horrible, terrifying shadow of a
creature that can kill you in a blink of an eye, then you
die of terror and fright. they can also creep up to you
like tiny ants then climb up your delicate, soft body and
strangle, or eat you to death so that there are only hard
crushed bones left on the cold, stone pavement.
“flick,” off goes the light, it is dark. All is well and the
deadly shadows are now shrinking back into the dark
corner of your bedroom. they are waiting for the bright
light to turn back on and the mayhem will happen again.
