Homework Week 9, term 1

Unfortunately I was a week behind with our time activities last week. Luckily all the students knew they were completing an activity from the creating column. This week finishes off our time unit activities for homework with an activity from the Evaluating column.

Students are also expected to read three times a week and get their parents to sign their diaries. I know many students who aren't using their diaries are reading but the purpose of this activity is to create Independence, organisation and responsibility. Diaries are a bit part of our weekly routine at school and students should be practising using them correctly so they are able to be more organised and independent in the coming years. This is part of their self-management skills also required for their health marks on their reports so please encourage your child to use their diaries efficiently.

Mathletics this week is all about angles. Over the past couple of days we have been categorising angles into acute, obtuse, right angle, straight angle, reflex and revolution. We have also been measuring and drawing angles using a protractor. Remember to use the question mark button (help button) when doing activities other than pre or post tests to explain different questions to you if you are unsure otherwise I am at school most mornings fairly early so pop in and I will be more than happy to help you out.

Below are this weeks spelling words. We will be having our weekly test and a dictation test next Wednesday.
