Solar cookers

Our class have been learning about renewable energy during Technology and SOSE activities this term. Students have watched videos from Behind The News, watched PowerPoint presentations and had discussions about the importance of using renewable (being able to be used over and over again) energy.

Students were asked to design their own solar cookers based on their research. Students completed the activity on their own based on researching, designing, constructing, measuring and evaluating. Students who have done a solar cooker before were asked to reflect on the changes and improvements they were going to be making in their plans and evaluations.
