DAILY DIARIES

Good morning everyone,
due to several parents mentioning to me that their children aren't bringing their diary home each night we are going to go back to daily diaries.

Each morning students will need to hand their diary in to me to be signed and will have to take their diaries home each night. This is encouraging responsability, organisation and accountability for their homework.

ALL students should be practising the times tables mentioned on their letters home several times a week if not everyday. Practising one times table should only take a few minutes a day.

ALL students are also encouraged to be reading every night and are given incentives in class if they do. I know a lot of students are very busy though so our class expectations are at least 3 nights a week. A lot of students each week are still not getting their diaries signed which is a requirement of their class organisation.

Let's get those diaries going year 5! I look forward to signing your diaries each day and seeing how hard you are all working at home :)
