Debating - metaphors or similes

For this week's debating focus students need to include a metaphor or simile. Below are some examples of metaphors and similes:

Metaphor - a metaphor is when the writer compares two unlike things.
E.g:
The road was a ribbon winding around the hill. - a road and ribbon are different but they have been described the same

Simile - comparing two things by using the words 'as' or 'like'
E.g.
As brave as a lion
Tall like a building
